He has spearheaded the establishment of hiring procedures and faculty development programs, while also implementing strategies to effectively balance faculty teaching loads. Additionally, he has played a pivotal role in enhancing faculty performance evaluations, incorporating the setting and review of annual goals. Prof. Howari has been a strong advocate for faculty and graduate student research, facilitating increased incentive grants and start-up support.

He has successfully developed an Academic Standards and Quality Unit, defining precise Terms of Reference and operational details. His meticulous attention to detail and commitment to excellence culminated in the successful completion of the Commission for Academic Accreditation (CAA) accreditation for three academic programs in May 2022.
